Willard M. Romney doesn’t see things like you or I do.

He’s never wondered how to pay his electric bill, he’s never been shocked by a car repair estimate, he’s probably never walked his own dogs (we know, of course, how he treated Seamus, and his callous treatment of the dog indicates that he knew very little about his family pet.) He’s just not able to understand us because he’s NEVER been one of us. He never will be.

And I am quite sure that he sees a higher percentage of us as loafing leeches than he has admitted to. That’s how his kind think; if you aren’t rich, it is YOUR OWN FAULT. This is what the Obama campaign has accused him of from day zero, and this is what he has always denied.

Well, he doesn’t deny it any more, does he?

Already scrambling to steady a struggling campaign, Republican Mitt Romney confronted a new headache Monday after a video surfaced showing him telling wealthy donors that almost half of all Americans “believe they are victims” entitled to extensive government support. He added that as a candidate for the White House, “my job is not to worry about those people.”

At a hastily called news conference late in the day, Romney offered no apologies for his remarks, and when he was asked if he was concerned he had offended anyone, he conceded the comments weren’t “elegantly stated” and they were spoken “off the cuff.”

President Obama’s campaign quickly seized on the video, obtained by the magazine Mother Jones and made public on a day that Romney’s campaign said it needed a change in campaign strategy to gain momentum in the presidential race. Romney aides were already working behind the scenes to calm dissension in the GOP ranks and reassure nervous donors and consultants about the state of a race some Republicans worry may be getting away from their nominee.

“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what,” Romney is shown saying in the video posted online by the magazine (which you can see on the left). “There are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it.”

“Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax,” Romney said.

Romney said in the video that his role “is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

There is is AGAIN. THOSE PEOPLE. Like Queen Ann’s YOU PEOPLE. And there’s Willard again, admitting that he does not give a SHIT about anyone who isn’t rich. They don’t CARE FOR THEIR LIVES.

If you are a Willard supporter who isn’t a multimillionaire, you are also an idiot. An idiot that doesn’t care for your own life. Or the lives of your neighbors. Or children. There is nothing that can be done for you, because you are simply too stupid to live.

When I think about all of the people I know who work HARD, and get so little for their efforts, I am incensed. It’s guys like Willard who lead directly to guys like Robespierre, and it’s no wonder why.
