To give you an idea of how famous Pete has become, I actually got pointed to this link by the Times of India.

And I can understand why they picked the link up. If ever there was anything that should embarrass us all, this is it. I have seen a lot of cruel, misogynist statements from the Rushpubliscum Party, but this one tops them all.

I’m having a hard time believing any woman would let Pete get close to her. But you know, maybe they DON’T. After all, a woman saying “no” would clearly be no impediment to Pete if he decided to have her anyway.

Abortion rights supporters are skeptical, believing the bill’s backers want to cut off a way for women to cover the cost of terminating pregnancies.

And Rep. Barbara Bollier, a Mission Hills Republican who supports abortion rights, questioned whether women would buy abortion-only policies long before they have crisis or unwanted pregnancies or are rape victims.

During the House’s debate, Rep. Pete DeGraaf, a Mulvane Republican who supports the bill, told her: “We do need to plan ahead, don’t we, in life?”

Bollier asked him, “And so women need to plan ahead for issues that they have no control over with a pregnancy?”

DeGraaf drew groans of protest from some House members when he responded, “I have spare tire on my car.

“I also have life insurance,” he added. “I have a lot of things that I plan ahead for.”

There you have it. In DeGraaf’s mind, an act of incredible violence against a woman amounts to about the same thing as a flat tire on a car.

Would any woman who votes Rushpubliscum care to step right up and support this? Please, explain to me about how Mr. DeGraaf has your best interests at heart. How he cares about you, and the quality of your life.
