Let us take the description from TomCat of Politics Plus, honored as a blogging mentor, and who decided that we are worthy of this honor as well. Coming from TomCat, this is an honor of the highest order, and I am both flattered and humbled by it.

I want to do the same here for five bloggers that I have received inspiration from. TomCat is definitely one of them, as he makes every effort to be thorough, accurate, and informative. Since I cannot honor him back with this award, I’ll post his instructions, and then we’ll proceed.

She explained the award in general as being for mentors, inspirations, or people who urged her to continue blogging, or those that are, and I quote, “such characters that I’ve got zero clue as to what drives them. They’re forces of nature on the blogosphere.”

So here, then, are people I admire for their perseverance in the face of all of the crap that exists in this America as we know it.

Let’s start with Polishifter of Pissed On Politics. Hs coverage of the Chimpy shenanigans is equaled by his hard-nosed look at candidates within the dem nomination process. You get a much better feel for who it is that’s asking for your vote from this blog. And in addition, this guy lost access to his own blog, and got right back to work behind a proxy server! THAT’s what I call dedication!

Heidi at the Virus Head blog deserves a mention for her willingness to go underneath the issue and look at it in depth as well. Heidi also adds a great deal of humanity to most of what she reviews, something that has caused me to stop more than once and reconsider my own vitriol on subjects like religion.

Tom Harper of Who Hijacked Our Country often assumes the role of a wingtard in his postings, making his readings both informative and fun. I do not have the stomach to do the wingtard thing myself, and it takes a special kind of cast-iron constitution to do it, IMHO.

Both Brother Tim and his weasel co-blogger of the Blog of Revelation look at today’s problems from many angles-national, international, societal, spiritual, personal, and weasely. I have often been given pause by the wise words of Wally.

And my final award is a multi-award for all the sisters at the Sirens’ Chronicles, where I make appearances from time to time as the token testosterone. Your synapses will be fired, your knowledge broadened.
