The Decade of the Hypocrite
Finally, we can close the books on the Decade of Failure. The 6 years of total Rushpubliscum governance we suffered through made the 1970s look like a prosperous paradise in comparison, not to mention the war for nothing in Iraq. America, a once-respected and economically powerful nation, was reduced to the status of a belligerent beggar that nobody wants any part of.
While the Decade of Failure was going on, anyone who dared say or write anything less than laudatory of either the moronic monkey or the Rushpubliscum lackeys who backed him at every turn was immediately castigated and labeled a traitor. Deficits soaring? Well you have to expect that, since we’re at WAR and how Dare you complain! You don’t like thousands of dead Americans? Go live in Cuba, you surrender monkey? You fail to see how super-secret “no fly lists” that only seem to cause headaches for the monkey’s political opponents are making us any safer? STFU, loudmouth; Chimpy “protects” you by denying you information! Warrantless searches are a Constitutional violation? You must be an al Qaeda member to even MENTION that! And on, and on, and on. The gasbag pundits of the right wing sought to elevate Chimpy to the kind of pedestal Kim Jong Il stands on in North Korea, and the MSM happily lent their services to the cause.
Ah, how things are going to change THIS decade! Even though Federal spending has slowed down measurably under the first year of this President (even with stimulus spending,) all of a sudden WE CAN’T AFFORD IT!!! Investing in America’s highways ain’t like giving Paris Hilton a tax break (and if you should dare to mention that, you are guilty of launching CLASS WAR!!!)-let the highways ROT! Accuse the President of weakness in the face of our enemy each and every time he tries to bring the US back into the family of nations, and leak information if it embarrasses the President-whether or not the leaked information might actually be of use to a terrorist! It is more important to bring down the President than it is to thwart terrorists, after all. And healthcare for everyone? It’s unconstitutional, man! You gots to respect (the Rushpubliscum version) of the Constitution (which is a document they wipe their asses with unless they are trying to transfer even more wealth to their peers, in which case they make bullshit up and claim that the Constitution is the document they got their made-up bullshit from.) LESS GOVERNMENT!!! MORE FREEDOM!!! WHITE POWER!!!!! TEA PARTIES!!!!
As the past year has dragged on, I have become less and less apt to listen to right wing bullshit. This means, of course, that I watch just about no TV “news,” and that I’m something of a pariah in a lot of circles. But you know, I speak the truth when I say the Rushpubliscums can’t govern because they’re too stupid to govern; they act as the tools of whoever purchases them, and their purchasers write their legislation for them and feed them their talking points. These sleazy bastards, who have sold America and the Americans to the highest bidder for most of the last decade, should be the last ones lecturing anyone on the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, personal integrity, or security policy. The party of Chimpy, Palin, Sanford, and Vitter can never again be trusted to do anything, and that point needs to be driven home. They have no ideas, no agenda beyond holding and keeping power, no personal characteristics that are admirable in the least, and no souls, having sold them a long time ago. Sadly, even with all of the evidence of lies, incompetence, and utter failure, there is one thing that we must all understand is a truth that will never change. About 1 in 5 of us, either blinded by racism or just too stupid to breathe, will never understand this though; I likn them to Charlie Brown, with the Rushpubliscum “leaders” playing the role of Lucy. And we all know that no matter how many times Lucy managed to talk Charlie Brown into trying to kick the football, it always turned out the same way.

As for the rest of us…. I am glad to have seen a lot of blogs that went dormant right after the election come back, and I wish some more of my brothers and sisters on the side of the truth and common sense would come back and ply their trades again. The Decade of the Hypocrite is upon us, and we can’t let these assholes just tell lie after lie and get away with it. We already know the MSM won’t bother to call them on it, so that just about leaves it all up to us.
Get on it. All of you. Right now. Make 2010 a long, hot year for the hypocrites

JR,
somebody told me, it might’ve been you-when I wondered why a certain percentage of teabaggers who aren’t stupid still espouse stupid dogma and stupid talking points and general stupidity-that individual pointed out that the unstupid teabaggers are lazy. they don’t want to do the heavy lifting of reading and research and actually reasoning-hey the three R’s-so they listen to the Angry White Guy crap and it tells them what opinions and beliefs to have so it makes their life easier and they can stay mindlessly angry without effort.
To paraphrase Dean Wurmer: “Son fat lazy and stupid is no way to go through life. But it can get you a show on Fox”.

HAHAHAHAHA….. or a seat in Congress if you happen to live in the 6th district of Minnesota-or MY District, the home of none other than “Junket John” Boehner.

It’ll get you the governorship of Virginia, too.

Happy New Year to you, JR, and to all here.
LOL @ Oso!!
It takes a year or more before the policies of a new administration start to effect the society as a whole. May we be blessed a year from now with even less Repuglicans in office.

Happy New Year JR and everyone!
Isn’t it amazing that the things most people hate above everything else – lying and hypocrisy and selfishness and spitefulness – have come to represent the Republican party and most conservatives?
I’m with you…I try to keep up with whatever new evil plot the right hatches, without exposing myself to too much of the rhetoric around it. I never, ever visit right wing Republican sites unless I’m following a link that might be useful to use against them. The comment sections are the stuff of nightmares.
I’m afraid all of us lefty, progressive Dems are going to have to start early, prodding the people who elected Obama and the Dems in the last election to get off their butts in the midterms and in 2012 and vote again, or we stand to lose a lot of ground and what little edge we have. The most horrifying piece of news I saw recently was that Sarah Palin was one of the most admired women in the country.
With the MSM and conservatard talking heads giving credence to every stupid word from the Republican right, it isn’t a great stretch to imagine a good chunk of people who get most of their news from teevee buying the bs.

I saw that too Mrs. B, but the numbers were still minuscule. Apparently there aren’t any women on the scene right now that can garner much of a consensus.
And I DO visit their sites, and I comment, right up to the time where they kick me off. And I love it when they comment here.
