Rushpubliscum “Morality” Leads to Catch-22 For Servicewomen

I’m sure you’ve seen the many articles in the MSM about a new Iraqi policy that could leave servicewomen vulnerable to court-martial if they get pregnant.
I really don’t have a problem with this; military rules aren’t the rules the rest of the world lives by, there are reasons for that, and the local commander should, in my opinion, have the discretion to make and enforce rules like these if he or she believes that it will lead to better cohesion.
However, I also believe that if you are going to have a rule that draconian, then servicewomen should have all the means they need to prevent pregnancy (and please, spare me the “abstinence” bullshit-we’re all human, and every one of us knows how it goes.)
But thanks to a Chimpy-era rule, many of our servicewomen do not have access to the “Plan B” form of contraception. This is absolutely idiotic, considering that most servicewomen are young, as are their male counterparts.
It is imperative that the Compassionate Care for Servicewomen Act, co-sponsored by Al Franken and Olympia Snowe, be adopted as soon as possible. If we’re going to have an evenhanded policy towards our women in uniform, we need to ensure that the Chimpy-era attitude towards women as babymakers is expunged from our military.
We know how mad the Rushpubliscums got when Senator Franken sought to extend contractors in foreign lands protection from rape by co-workers. They ought to get downright livid about this.
Let’s get it to a vote, and see how many of these Neanderthals reveal their true colors yet again.

Simply friggin amazing. Obviously these fucktards do not think things through. I adore Al Franken..he has the big brass ones in the Senate, and he wears them proudly.
Remember..the idiots also voted against Franken’s bill that gave rights to contractors in warzones.

Indeed I do remember, thus the mention
The “culture of life” is the modern-day equivalent of the plantation society. If you ain’t a plantation massa, you just ain’t.

GD cons love telling others what to do whether it’s no birth control, no abortions, no drugs, no homosexuality, no prostitution, pay for all of their kids schooling with our GD property taxes, and I know I am forgetting dozens more. They are the kings of hypocrisy.

See, now I have an easy fix for this. You don’t want the service members getting pregnant then allow more gays into the military and of course the birth control methods. It IS that easy to solve is it not?

JR, I agree completely. There is no excuse for soldiers not having morning-after pills available to them. And you’re also right about commanders needing to have discretion to discourage pregnancies, especially in war zones.
As a side note, I read recently that Bush’s meddling on the availability of contraceptives through international programs created a baby boom in Africa — where it will mean more poverty and misery for millions, for decades into the future. There is no pit in hell too hot or too deep to properly repay George W. Bush for all he’s done.
