Stop Paying This Nasty Whore!
Not this one (though it would be lovely if Connecticut voters got the kind of influence they deserve via Holy Joe being stripped of all his influence.)

We The People can’t do a whole lot right now about this whore, but we can probably do something about THIS whore.

This nasty, crab-ridden whore has helped her nasty, corporate-ridden whore of a husband do everything he can do to stop health reform in this country-WHILE she takes payouts for “fighting” breast cancer. One look at her record shows you a nasty whore in bed with so many pharmas and insurers that there’s no way in hell she could ever be for any kind of meaningful health reform.
Today there’s a post at FDL demanding that this nasty whore go peddle her crab-infested wares somewhere else, and I couldn’t agree more.
I’m sure you’ll agree too.
On Friday, I wrote a letter to the Susan B. Komen Foundation asking that they stop using money that was raised for cancer research to pay Hadassah Lieberman, wife of Senator Joe Lieberman, as a spokesperson for the organization. The organization issued a statement saying that they refuse to do so.
As a three time breast cancer survivor, I do not believe that those who “race for the cure” and donate their hard earned dollars think they’re doing it so the money can go to Hadassah Lieberman. So today, I’m asking the celebrities who lend their names and their time to Race for the Cure like Ellen DeGeneres, James Denton and Christie Brinkley to join me in asking the Foundation to end its ties with Lieberman, whose professional agenda is antithetical to the cause they purport to advance.
For decades, Hadassah Lieberman has worked for the insurance-pharmaceutical-lobbying complex. Like Newt Gingrich, Dick Gephard and Tom Daschle she never registered as a lobbyist to avoid the official taint, but nonetheless worked at the powerhouse lobbying shops Hill and Knowlton and APCO. She also did stints at Pfizer and Hoffman-La Roche.
When she was hired at Hill and Knowlton as a senior counselor in the health and pharmaceutical practice in 2005, the company issued a press release which said “she hopes to draw on her political experience in concentrating on health care policy and public health initiatives.” It is unquestionable that she has used her association with her husband the Senator, who was instrumental in killing the Clinton health care reform effort in 1994, in order to secure these lucrative positions and advance the interests of her clients.
How much is she being paid? It’s hard to tell — the Senate Finance report only indicates that it’s “more than $1000.” But money paid to spouses is one of the primary ways that members of Congress manage to wander into serious money while in office, and Hadassah made $328,000 in speaking fees in one year. From 2004 to 2008, the Center for Responsive Politics estimates that Lieberman’s net worth has increased by a million dollars. That’s impossible to do on a Senator’s salary alone.
According to Larry Nobel, former executive director of the Center for Responsive Politics: “Unless it can really be shown that there is a reason that an individual is being paid for her expertise, then it does look like she is getting paid as a substitute for his speaking…In perspective, I think it falls in a category of ongoing issues that arise having to do with the proper role of spouses and whether someone is trading off of a spouse’s influence.”
This is past an outrage. I’m sorry to have to make this analogy, but it fits-it’s like Goebbels working for the ADL. Surely enough pressure can be brought to bear on the Komen Foundation to at least get them to stop paying off one of their predators!
The more I see of these nasty, slimy LIEbermans, the sicker I get.

Great minds again, JR.
The time to kick this Republican out of the Democratic caucus and strip him of his Chairmanship of Homeland Security is long past due.

That really pisses me off! I didn’t know that about Hadassah. That and Lieberman representing the Connecticut insurance companies explains everything.
I thought it pretty cool that when Lierberman was running for VP the two of them came here to speak as she grew up here in Gardner. Now I am disgusted with her and the traitor.

I, too, had no idea Hadassah Lieberman was plugged into the corporate bullies who are trashing health care reform, but it figures. Good for that woman who wrote to the Komen Foundation.
Democrats should read fifth-columnist Joe out of their Senate Caucus, not just strip him of his chairmanship. But they should’ve done that when he spoke at the GOP convention last year and endorsed McCain. As it is, his presence in the caucus is probably a conduit for inside information that goes straight to Mitch McConnell.
I’m convinced Lieberman is just biding his time before switching to the GOP. He’s just waiting until doing so will be most advantageous to him.

We talked about Hadassah and her whoring ways back in 2006.

It still pisses me off to no end, however.

I would like to see both of them carried out into the alley behind capital hill and have the snot beaten out of them. They’d deserve it.

The Liebermans should be deported.
They’re dual American-Israeli nationals. Was such a thing deemed to be illegal affter 9/11? Kick them out of the country.

Keep peeling back the layers of the onion and we will see a lot more two faced harlots up there on the hill. Nothing about these asshats surprise me anymore

Well it seems as if Joe has been able to derail HCR as of today. Same thing with the re importation of drugs, the amendment offered by Dorgan. That failed today 51-48. Usual suspects voting against it. Bayh, whose wife is on the board of Wellpoint, Lieberman as usual because he is pissed off the blogosphere wouldn’t do his bidding in 2006. These dems just don’t want to govern it appears to me. Meanwhile 122 people will die today with no access to health care. It is depressing as all hell to watch this majority act as if there are only 12 of them and can’t get anything done. Even Dean is touting scrapping this piece of crap and going the reconciliation route.
