Off the Rails, and Down the Bluff: Cookie Corruption

Steve “Whitey” KKKing has never even tried to hide his overtly racist attitude towards minorities (especially the one living in the WHITE House,) but his latest nutty tirade is a little extreme, even for him.

These are the people the MSM says are going to come storming back to take over in 2010. Do you really think so?

Were they acorn cookies, or ACORN cookies?

US House Rep. Steve King (W-ARYAN NATIONS) says it was the latter. The congressman known for being one of the most fierce opponents of the community organization ACORN was evidently shocked when he was served acorn-shaped chocolate cookies at the White House Christmas Ball Monday night.

“At the WH Christmas Ball Monday night, they served ACORN cookies,” King announced on Twitter, in reference to the community organizing group with that acronym.

It’s hard to say why the White House would have chosen cookies in that shape, given the recent connotations of the word “acorn” in political circles. Perhaps it was unintentional, or perhaps it was a bit of a jab at the Republicans in attendance.

But for Rep. King, the message was clear. “I didn’t expect to see such stark symbolism,” he wrote in an email to Fox News.

ACORN’s activities have been an obsession of King’s since well before this fall’s controversy, when conservative activists posing as a pimp and prostitute captured on video ACORN employees advising them on how to hide evidence of a prostitution business and smuggle people into the country.

In May, King called for congressional hearings into ACORN’s finances, and in September he described President Barack Obama as the “chief organizer” of ACORN.

Noting King’s desire to link Obama to the controversy over ACORN, the ChattahBox blog opines that the White House acorn cookies may well be the smoking gun the House representative has been looking for.

“King may have found the link he has been seeking between Obama and ACORN,” the blog quipped.

Perhaps the President should have served some really spicy red cookies baked in the shape of flaming crosses. That is the kind of thing KKKing would apparently have been delighted to see.

Insanity and stupidity surely aren’t the same thing, but that doesn’t mean that you’ll never find them together.

King is a Capt. Queeg type, and one of these days, under pressure or letting his rage get the best of him, he’s liable to go completely off his rocker in public.

  2. Track-A-'Crat Says:

The race card! That is hilarious!

Isn’t it miraculous how every stance of the Republican Party can be “explained” by racism?

Remind me again which party passed the 1875 Civil Rights Act?
And which president segregated Washington DC?
And which one passed, and which future one voted against, the 1957 Civil Rights Act (the first civil rights act, by the way, since that of 1875)?
And which one enforced desegregation of the military?
And which one desegregated American schools?
And which party the first African-American Representative, Senator, Secretary of State, and the first Hispanic Attorney General, all belonged to?

But, sure, go right on ahead believing what you want to believe.

  3. JollyRoger Says:

C’mon, Track, how STUPID do you think we are? And why is it you idiots trot THIS VERY ARGUMENT out every time your racist asses are called out? This is the Klanservative equivalent of “some of my best friends are (insert minority,)”and it won’t wash. The modern-day Rushpubliscums would crucify Lincoln, TR, Willkie, Dirksen….. everyone knows this. Please, stop trying to WHITEwash your racist present by throwing out your better PAST.

  4. Oso Says:

    JR,
Track’s examples only work for dumbass White Repubs.

I work with teabaggers, they occasionally bring up that same crap, always after Limbaugh or Beck make it a feature of one of their shows. The same way the Repubs will portray themselves as the party of the working man.It only works on people who are not affected by it,and are stupid.

Yassuh massa Track, we’se sorry we did not know that.

  5. JollyRoger Says:

That’s we IS sorry we didn’t KNOWS that, Oso.

  6. Oso Says:

    I stand corrected.

  7. Mrs. Bitch Says:

Oh FFS!! They were probably bell shaped, you know, in the spirit of the holidays, and the dumb f*ck turned his upside down and saw an acorn.

Paranoid, stupid, AND completely lacking spatial skills. Yeah, sounds about right.

  8. Bee Says:

I hope they WERE acorn shaped, and served for the specific purpose of making this maroon’s head explode in fits of righteous conspiracy-theorizing.

I wonder why, if “track a cat”‘s party thinks so highly of Lincoln et. al., then why is it that when they get in a room together in front of a tv camera, like at last year’s televised republican primary debates, they only ever invoke the ghost of Raygun Ronnie? Gee, I wonder why that is?

Could it be because the parties flip some time ago, and the “republican party” of Lincoln et. al. is now the democratic party?

  9. Jess Says:

Well his head must be exploding today, with the news from the courts that said, de funding ACORN was illegal and amounted to violation of the Constitution and that pesky little Bills of Attainder nonsense they have in the “quaint” document.

  10. Oso Says:

    Hi Jess,
It was great news about ACORN. I believe they do good work but almost exclusively with poor and minorities and therefore-tools of the devil to the teabaggers. Wouldn’t it be cool if his head really did explode? Some SEIU-represented janitor qould clean up the small amount of brains then take a long break.

Bee you’re right,I’d read about that somewhere, how the Repubs were the Peoples Party during the 19th century? CRS syndrome striking again.

  11. Track-A-'Crat Says:

    Oso,

What does “Track’s examples only work for dumbass White Repubs” even mean?

As usual, those on the Left avoid any facts in their counter-argument, resorting to just flinging about accusations and insults.

Can you answer any of those questions? Do the answers mean nothing to you? Does history not matter, whether distant or recent?

Oh, now I remember. Civil rights only began in 1964, didn’t they? You should all try reading something with which you disagree once in a while. Something factual, not something polemic. You might be surprised at what you learn.

I await your ad hominem abuse eagerly…

  12. JollyRoger Says:

And there you go again, Track, using the old Rushpubliscum tactic of projection.

You do, of course, realize where all the racist Dixiecrats wound up-folks like Thurmond, Helms, and their followers wound up. And you know WHY too. Here’s a hint: look up “1948,” when a Democrat named Truman issued a certain Executive Order.

It seems to me you haven’t got a damn thing here. Your “facts” are ancient history, while I have no trouble proving mine. It won’t matter to you, because Hannity didn’t tell it to you-but really, you are one sad damned debater.

  13. Oso Says:

    Track-A-’Crat,

Someone who is not aware of the Republican record on civil rights/minority issues and who doesn’t take the time to research the issue might buy into your list, particularly if the issue is not a personal concern.

An example might be,30 years ago your typical White person was not concerned with equal employment opportunity for minorities. Not implying racism, merely not on their radar screen.

To a typical minority though,it would be an issue he/she was concerned with.If an article in the newspaper claimed that job discrimination didn’t exist the White person might read it then assume it was valid and think EEO was a waste, the minority would disagree and likely support EEO.

Since you presented the list I’m sure “Republican” is the answer to all of the questions.

One could make a convincing case that the Republicans were the party of the working man right up till the turn of the last century, but the mantle seemingly passed to the Democrats.

I don’t delude myself about the Democrats BTW, they are at best marginally better than Republicans.

IMO a Republican like Ron Paul is head and shoulders above most Democrats.

  14. JollyRoger Says:

Paul is a Libertarian. Like Sanders is a Socialist.

  15. Oso Says:

I think he went back to Repub to run for Prez? But I guess you mean his policy, absolutely.
The gold standard/Austrian stuff is ideological and unworkable in the modern world. And possibly nuts.
But his opposition to the wars is why I supported and still support him. To me, the paramount issue is the horror we’ve inflicted on the Iraqis and Afghanis. So I’ve been a one-issue person in that respect.

  16. JollyRoger Says:

He runs these days as a Rushpubliscum, but he’s always been a Libertarian. Like Sanders runs as an Indie and caucuses with dems, but as the Mayor of Burlington he was a Socialist.
