Caribou Barbie. STILL Grifting, With a Little Help From Her Friends

Caribou Barbie has been busy lately fleecing the rubes on her promotional tour for a book she did not write, showing up at venue after venue on a bus she did not ride (she rides a private jet in-between venues and then gets on the bus for the last few miles of the trek, duping the rubes once again into thinking she’s just like them.)
But that doesn’t mean that Caribou Barbie has forgotten her “core business” of scamming people based on her “persecution” by those mean old librul types. As you can see, she continues to work that scam too, even when the scam has already resulted in official complaints.
When you’re scamming stupid people, the sky seems to be the limit. Caribou Barbie seems destined to single-handedly wipe out the disposable incomes of the stupid.
Just in time for Christmas, no less.
Those of you playing at home and counting ethics complaints filed against Sarah Palin on your fingers and toes are about to run out. Yesterday, another ethics complaint was filed against the almost one term ex-governor by her one-time political ally, Republican Andrée McLeod. (obviously a closet librul socialist Cummunazi. ~Jolly Roger)
This particular complaint addresses Palin’s legal defense fund, hubristically named “The Alaska Fund Trust.” Back in July, we learned through a separate ethics complaint which spawned an investigation, that the very existence of the Alaska Fund Trust is most likely a violation of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. The report of the independent investigation found its way to the media.
The report obtained by The Associated Press says Palin is securing unwarranted benefits and receiving improper gifts through the Alaska Fund Trust, set up by supporters. An investigator for the state Personnel Board says in his July 14 report that there is probable cause to believe Palin used or attempted to use her official position for personal gain because she authorized the creation of the trust as the “official” legal defense fund.
So what did the ex-governor and her long-time friend Kristan Cole, trustee of the AFT do after they received the report? Nothing. The Alaska Fund Trust website is unbelievably still taking donations. They’re still holding out the tin cup and accepting those $5 donations from little old Grannies to pay off Palin’s six-figure legal debt, while the supposed beneficiary of the money is jetting around the country promoting her best-selling book “Going Rogue” and raking in the millions. But, please… keep those donations coming.
The latest ethics complaint addresses this lack of response on the part of the Trust and the ex-governor, whom the AFT website still refers to as “current governor Sarah Palin.” News flash folks! She quit five months ago, in case you weren’t paying attention.“Palin continues to compromise the integrity of our Governor’s Office,” says McLeod. “She continues to misuse her official position even though she was told it is wrong to do. What we have is the epitome of a culture of corruption. Why do public officials permit Palin to get away with bad behavior? Why does justice not prevail on the side of the people in the follow through of what has already been established as an unscrupulous pot of money? We still don’t know how much has been collected during her term and who’s been paid from the fund. Why does the administration continue to protect and defend Sarah Palin, even when she’s caught, red-handed, selling out the Office of the Governor?”
Why, indeed? And even more importantly, why does the MSM continue to hang on her every word, when all but the willfully deaf and blind know that she does nothing but lie?
Not content with publishing George Will’s fabrications about the stolen emails (for which, see Carl Zimmer), they now have a piece by climate expert Sarah Palin. The Washington Post simply does not care about the accuracy of the columns it publishes. Let’s look at just one paragraph:
The e-mails reveal that leading climate “experts” deliberately destroyed records, manipulated data to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, and tried to silence their critics by preventing them from publishing in peer-reviewed journals. What’s more, the documents show that there was no real consensus even within the CRU crowd. Some scientists had strong doubts about the accuracy of estimates of temperatures from centuries ago, estimates used to back claims that more recent temperatures are rising at an alarming rate.
I didn’t add the link to this paragraph. It’s a link to the WaPo’s own report on the email theft and it directly contradicts Palin. For example, the WaPo’s news story says:
Phil Jones, the unit’s director, wrote a colleague that he would “hide” a problem with data from Siberian tree rings with more accurate local air temperature measurements.
But Palin says that he tried to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, when in fact he showed the increase in global temperatures since 1960.
The Wapo’s report does not support any of the false claims in Palin’s paragraph. No they didn’t deliberately destroy data, no, they didn’t try to stop their critics from publishing. And while the emails show there are many things that the scientists disagree on, they doesn’t mean there is no consensus about anything — they agree that it is getting warmer and that we are causing it.
So what use is the Washington Post? If they are not going to do even the most perfunctory fact checking on the stuff they publish, what value do they add?
What use is ANY of the MSM? Their continued hagiography of this lying, grifting piece of white trash helps her enormously in her fleecing operations. Scared, ignorant white people will read her tripe in a major MSM outlet and point to it as some kind of “proof” of her legitimacy.
The MSM certainly wouldn’t let you or me have the floor to spew out a bunch of nonsense and lies, but they keep giving this dumbass (who is, after all, a nobody in the real world) all the publicity she wants. They are aiding and abetting her thefts.
Why?
