Guv. Goodhair Threatens Civil War Over Universal Healthcare!

Gov. Goodhair, Closet Case

It is not surprising in the least that the elitist closet queen Rick “Guv Goodhair” Perry would be against providing Texans of modest means with healthcare. Texas, after all, is one of those “compassionate conservative” bastions that charges rape victims for the evidence kits used on them.

But Guv Goodhair REALLY hates the notion of Texans who don’t die based on their incomes. As you can see here, he’s threatening again-just like he did when the evil Federal Government proposed that he actually take some money and do something to help the Texas unemployed.

I thought it couldn’t get worse than Chimpy, but I was wrong. This guy is so far gone Miss Cleo can’t connect with him.

The governor of Texas has threatened a showdown with the Obama administration over the president’s proposals for healthcare reform, according to a published report.

Rick Perry — who is facing a reelection fight against fellow Texas Republican, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, and 2006 gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman, who will attempt to run as a Democrat — made the remarks Thursday while speaking to Mark Davis, a conservative talk show host on Dallas station WBAP/820 AM, according to The Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

“I think you’ll hear states and governors standing up and saying ‘no’ to this type of encroachment on the states with their healthcare,” he reportedly said. “So my hope is that we never have to have that stand-up. But I’m certainly willing and ready for the fight if this administration continues to try to force their very expansive government philosophy down our collective throats.”

While the uninsured still have access to hospital emergency rooms should the need arise, they face being buried under a mountain of debt if they do.

Texas’ population has a higher percentage of uninsured citizens than any other state.

While California comes in first for most uninsured people, at 5,360,940, making up 24 percent of the population, Texas’ 4,214,860 — according to the Texas Medical Association — is a full 30 percent of the state’s people.

Additionally, “[one] in five children living in Texas is without health insurance — the highest in the nation, according to a report released by Families USA,” noted The Austin Business Journal.

“The study, ‘Left Behind: Texas’s Uninsured Children,’ found that 1.4 million children, or 20.5 percent of the population aged 18, under were without health insurance in the three years from 2005 to 2007,” the paper continued.

The Journal added that almost 90 percent of the uninsured children in Texas live in households where at least one adult works “a year-round, full-time job.”

“It really is a state issue, and if there was ever an argument for the 10th Amendment and for letting the states find a solution to their problems, this may be at the top of the class,” Perry reportedly said. “A government-run healthcare system is financially unstable. It’s not the solution.”

No, you stupid bitch, it is NOT a “state issue,” any more than equal rights for minorities was. The busted healthcare system in America affects all of us. I am going to incur expenses from the Texas sales clerk that winds up in the ER because she can’t afford to go to the doctor.

If Guv Goodhair wants to become Emperor Goodhair I, let him. But we will really need to practice some serious border controls if he does, because the refugee flood from Goodhair’s empire will be on a scale unprecedented in American history.

Exactly, JR, it is NOT a state issue, it has become a human rights issue. If this healthcare reform initiative fails, costs will skyrocket. Costs of supplies, of insurance, of services, will go so fucking high that we won’t know what hit us, because the entire industry will have been given carte blanche to raise rates to whatever they want, thanks to idiots and asshats like Goodhair. It is no coincidence that the profits really started to roll in for insurance companies, Big Pharma, Big Med Supply and too much of the rest of the industry after the Clinton’s failed initiative in the 90′s.

I hope Texas does secede – the mexican drug lords will eat them for lunch just like they are chowing down on the mexican government right now, knowing that the “leader” of the country of Texas is this pantywaist. Talk about fucking elistism, to think that your state is so great when 30 percent of the population is living without healthcare insurance, therefore most likely the same number is living in poverty. That is NOT something to brag about, but this guy is such a twisted freak he doesn’t even begin to understand that.

  2. Christopher Says:

Please secede! Please! The sooner the better as far as I’m concerned. Texas can become Mexico’s northernmost state which some would argue it all ready is anyway.
