Another “Pull Yourself Up” Rushpublican FRAUD, Depending on Mommy and Daddy
I’ve remarked in here many times (and I’m sure you’ve noticed) that the great bulk of the hard-ruight “conservatives” in politics are trust funders, and most of their hard-core constituents work for the Government, with its generous benefit packages. In other words, the people who do all this preaching about “self-reliance” are accustomed to having all of their needs met, and most of their wants, by either indulgent parents or a nanny-state benefits system. If most of these useless louts had to figure out how to get by the way you and I have been doing our whole lives, they’d starve to death.
Chimpy is a classic example; he ran 2 businesses and the Texas Rangers into the ground, but even as a man in his 50s, he turned to his daddy (and daddy’s friends, like the bin Laden family) to bail him out of failure after failure. Cheney’s only “accomplishment” outside of working for the Government has been to saddle Halliburton with a tremendous asbestos liability during his brief stint as a CEO. Newt Gingrich has been a teacher or a Congresscritter for most of his career. “Hard Mark” Sanford’s family owns a few thousand (you read that right) acres in Florida and South Carolina. See a pattern here? They cannot wipe their own asses without the “unbreakable safety net” put underneath them either by family wealth or by Government largesse.
The pathetic example of John Ensign is no surprise, but it ought to disgust you all the same. It is past pitiful that a man in his 50s has to go begging his mommy and daddy to pay off his hump buddy so he doesn’t get caught with his pants down, which might end his marriage and his Senatorial career. I sit here, and I can just imagine how HARD my dad would have laughed at me if I’d gone to him begging for his help way back in the day, when I had a little pregnancy problem I had to deal with (that problem is 22 years old now, and dammit, I’m waiting for him to give ME a damn safety net!)
How on Earth can I respect anyone who supports these people in the voting booth? How can YOU?
An attorney for U.S. Sen. John Ensign says the senator’s parents gave his mistress and her family nearly $100,000.
In statement released Thursday, Paul Coggins says Ensign’s parents made the gifts “out of concern for the well being of longtime family friends during difficult time.”
Coggins says the gift was made in the form of a check totaling $96,000 in April 2008, after the Nevada Republican had told his parents of his affair.
Does this not fill you up with unbridled contempt? Absolute disgust? I don’t believe that there is even one honorable person left in politics these days who claims to embrace “self-reliance” and “family values.”

Republicants cant govern because they hate government. It’s the manifest destiny of Democrats to keep the G(reedy) O(ld) P(arty) as far from the White House as possible!
