I don’t think anyone would say that I have any sympathy for politicians in general, and especially the “leadership” of the Goppers and dems in CONgress. I believe that scum like “Stepnfetchit” Reid, “Mooch” McConnell, “Junket John” Boehner, “Nanny” Pelosi, and the rest of them ought to be swept out at the first opportunity. I am especially incensed with the Senate in general, which continues to tolerate the posturing of indisputable scum like “Diaper David” Vitter and “Saxby the Slime” Chambliss.

Yes, they deserve to be thrown out of the Senate. Some of them undoubtedly deserve jail time. But, as a matter of principle, I cannot wish for them to have a punishment that goes well beyond cruel and inhumane.

Can you even begin to fathom the psychological damage that would come from being trapped in the Senate chamber, having to listen to her filibuster a bill? The hairs on the back of my neck stand up from just thinking about it.

“Fran Drescher, actress, women’s health advocate and public diplomacy envoy for the US State Department, announced that she is throwing her hat into the ring of contenders for the senate seat being vacated by Secretary of State-designate Hillary Rodham Clinton,” Drescher spokesman Jordan Brown said.

Drescher, 51, is best known for her starring role in the 1990s TV comedy The Nanny, but since her diagnosis with uterine cancer, she has become a women’s health advocate.

She was named a state department public envoy in September and recently toured eastern European countries to raise awareness of women’s health issues.

It will be up to New York Governor David Paterson to appoint a successor for Senator Clinton, who still must be confirmed by her senate colleagues for the cabinet post.

Drescher will be up against political heavyweights Caroline Kennedy and New York Attorney-General Andrew Cuomo.

This is just too much, even for a bunch of deserving scumbags like those in the US Senate. Public floggings, the stocks, trash details on chain gangs… I can get behind just about anything but THIS.
