Sacrilege? I Got Your Sacrilege
If you can walk past burning babies in the streets of a war zone to condemn a scared young woman at an abortion clinic, I believe you’re sacrilegious.
If you can ignore the tens upon tens of thousands of children who do not have enough to eat, and no medical insurance, and schooling that has been gutted by a policy designed to funnel money into the coffers of the pResident’s brother and little else, then I believe you’re sacrilegious.
If you can ignore the wholesale theft of money from people who can’t afford to pay the light bill in order to bail out multimillionaire bankers, I’d say you’re sacrilegious.
Ladies and Gentleman, meet the Rev. Joseph Illo, sacrilegious scum. When will we finally realize that these charlatans have become a bunch of power hungry bastards, and start making them pay TAXES on their ill-gotten gains?
Parishioners of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Modesto have been told they should consider going to confession if they voted for Barack Obama, because of the president-elect’s position condoning abortion.
“If you are one of the 54 percent of Catholics who voted for a pro-abortion candidate, you were clear on his position and you knew the grav- ity of the question, I urge you to go to confession before receiving communion. Don’t risk losing your state of grace by receiving sacrilegiously,” the Rev. Joseph Illo, pastor of St. Joseph’s, wrote in a letter dated Nov. 21.
The letter was sent to more than 15,000 members of the St. Joseph’s parish. It is one of 34 parishes in the Stockton Diocese, which has more than 200,000 members in Stanislaus, San Joaquin and four other counties.
Illo also delivered this message in a homily.
Though Obama’s support of abortion rights angered many Catholics nationally during the campaign, Illo’s letter is believed to be the first in Central California from a priest to his parishioners on the topic.
The Most Rev. Stephen Blaire, bishop of the Stockton Diocese, disagrees with Illo. He said Catholics should not feel compelled to disclose how they voted to their priest.
Blaire said Catholics who carefully weighed many issues and settled on a candidate, such as Obama, who was supportive of abortion rights, were not in need of confession. He said confession would be necessary “only if someone voted for a pro-abortion or pro-choice candidate — if that’s the reason you voted for them.”
“Our position on pro-life is very important, but there are other issues,” Blaire said. “No one candidate reflects everything that we stand for. I’m sure that most Catholics who voted were voting on economic issues.
I include Rev Blaire’s response as that of someone who is NOT sacrilegious.
Let us take the insane wingtard “logic” of Rev. Illo to its obvious destination. According to Illo’s way of thinking, because a few Catholic Priests have participated in child molestation, then anyone who associates with the Church overall is now guilty of sacrilege and should now seek to cleanse him or herself through confession.
See how easy it is to take one issue and throw a big blanket? I’m sick to death of these Jesusistani hypocritical scumbags.

I thought for a minute the story was about James Dobson or Rod Parsley since they both follow the same guidelines for moral standards.

Scared young woman at an abortion clinic? You mean a woman that is going into an abortion clinic to murder her helpless unborn child? It’s the baby that is being murdered, not the woman that is paying a babykilling abortionist to murder her baby.
Any coward who supports abortion has the blood of babies on their hands.
SAY THIS PRAYER: Dear Jesus, I am a sinner and am headed to eternal hell because of my sins. I believe you died on the cross to take away my sins and to take me to heaven. Jesus, I ask you now to come into my heart and take away my sins and give me eternal life.

Well well, Jesusistan comes a calling.
Army of God. That translates to “Hezbollah” in Arabic. Coincidence? Nope.
And any “man of God” worth his collar would be screaming at the top of his lungs about the ALREADY BORN babies that are suffering and dying because “values” leaders that your ilk support don’t hesitate to bomb them, shoot them, or let them die of neglect.
If you’re going to Heaven, please… send me to Hell.

The anti-abortion bunch are usually the loudest supporters of fascist forced sterilizations of women who aren’t “like them” or otherwise undesireable.
I’ve always found it intersting how easily organized religions work with repressive gov’t regimes, other than the Communists. That’s one thing I liked about the Commies, they gave religion the boot.
Bet this clown wouldn’t have any trouble at all killing the woman, and the fetus, to prevent her from getting an abortion. After reading the bible three times, I got the impression God reserves the right to judge unto himself. He/She doesn’t appear to be big on delegating that to us poor sinners.

Jim, you are no doubt correct, but the good Rev probably has some poor people to persecute somewhere so I won’t hold my breath waiting for a response.
