Prodding a Bear is a Stupid Act

And we all know that nobody does stupid better than our own Secretary of Stupid, Lecondel Rice.

The United States is broke. Our Army and Marine Corps are decimated. Right now a well-disciplined troop of Boy Scouts could take over Des Moines, and we’d be hard-pressed to do anything about it.

Given these facts about America today, would you say that we need to set ourselves (and an ally of ours) up for a confrontation with a country that is huge, flush with cash, and quite willing to send out massive force if its interests are threatened?

Yeah. I wouldn’t think that this is a good idea either. But obviously Chimpy and his shoe-shopping partner in global stupidity think it’s just a wonderful idea.

Condoleezza Rice today signed an historic and highly controversial deal to build a US missile base in Poland.

The US Secretary of State signed the agreement to a build a missile defence shield in the former Soviet satellite state in exchange for greater American military support for Poland.

“This is an agreement that will help us to deal with the new threats of the 21st century, of long range missiles. . . from countries like Iran or North Korea,” Dr Rice said.

Moscow is furious that US missiles will be stationed within easy striking distance of Russia and that, as part of the deal, Poland will get 96 Patriot missiles, a permanent garrison of American troops and an agreement that the US will offer greater protection to the Poles in case of any conflict.

President Kaczynski of Poland told a sceptical public last night that the deal would not make the nation a potential target for Russian aggression. During a television broadcast he declared today to be “an important day in our history”, which “strengthens Poland’s position in the world”.

For the Polish Government, the deal is welcome at a time when Russia’s actions in Georgia have generated alarm throughout Eastern Europe. They see it as offering a form of protection beyond that of Nato.

The President insisted that the missile shield was purely a defensive system and not a threat to its neighbours. “For that reason, no one who has good intentions toward us and toward the Western world should be afraid of it,” he said.

President Medvedev of Russia sees it differently, however, claiming that the deployment “has the Russian Federation as its target”.

American officials say the 10 interceptor missiles will be installed at a base 115 miles from Russia’s westernmost frontier as a safeguard against rogue states such as Iran and North Korea.

On Friday, General Anatoly Nogovitsyn, the Russian armed forces’ deputy chief of staff, described it as an act of aggression against Russia and warned Poland that it was leaving itself open to retaliation – and possibly even a nuclear attack.

“Poland, by deploying [the system] is exposing itself to a strike – 100 per cent,” he said.

First of all, everyone knows that Lecondel is lying about who the target is. That isn’t unusual, since Lecondel does nothing BUT lie, but this lie is particularly insulting to the intelligence of anyone who hears it. What is particularly infuriating to the Russians about this lie is that they’ve shown no hostile intent in Europe since the collapse of the USSR, and yet they are again being threatened. The Russians, quite understandably, are pretty touchy about the notion of foreign powers threatening them, as they’ve had to fend off invaders for centuries. Stoking traditional Russian paranoia ia a blunder of incalculable proportions.

Secondly, does anyone really believe that we could come to the aid of Poland if Russia sent a fleet of bombers to get rid of that missile base? Our only option would be to use nukes on Russia, and they have plenty of answers for that.

Thirdly, and most importantly of all, who in the HELL benefits from this? Poland? Nope-Poland has been blown to smithereens repeatedly throughout its history, and only lately did it look like perhaps Europe had finally settled down enough to allow the Poles to start breathing easier. Thanks to this idiotic treaty, the Poles had better start training irregulars again, because the odds that they will be smashed to pieces once more by a foreign entity just went way up. Since the Poles obviously get nothing out of this but a bullseye, can we find a benefit for the US? It’s hard to see how, since we have no ground forces to help defend Poland and we’d either have to nuke Russia, or go home with our tails between our legs, in the event of hostilities. Again, no benefit. So how about Europe then? What does this do for European security? Provoking Russia at a time when the Europeans need their oil and natural gas could not possibly be anything but bad for European economies, and any actual outbreak of hostilities would be hard to contain in Poland-meaning that Germany and points west would almost certainly wind up getting visited by Russian missiles. I’m quite certain that the millions of Europeans old enough to remember the devastation of World War II would probably choose to not revisit the wastelands of their childhoods, were they given a choice.

It seems plain to me that Chimpy doesn’t just despise America-he hates the whole world. Never in the history of this country have we had “leadership” that was determined to destabilize and destroy civilized life on this planet, until now. I do not know what happened in the moronic monkey’s childhood or adolescence that turned him into the Hitler of the new century, but I do hope that forensic psychologists will study the pathologies of both Chimpy and Cheney for clues as to how we can prevent any future occurrences of such demented, twisted, evil men.

If we survive them. That looks increasingly unlikely.

The MDS may or may not work but it has already served its purpose. It was designed to instigate future war and it is well on its way. Watch this fall! Elections hmph!
It isn’t that the chimp hates America or the world. This is all part of the doctrine he has followed from the beginning. I know it as the doctrine of destruction. Russians first used it mid 19th century.

Any to implement his new version of societal and world order he must first create disorder as you see everywhere. I have tried to get people to see what he has done on purpose for years and now it is too far along to turn around.

Not a very prtty picture. Some insight might be gained by reading “Confessions Of An Economic Hitman”, by John Perkins.

I have always believed that the “profit” is in the treatment, not the cure, so while a lot of little wars, destabilizing LDC’s can be very profitible, a major war that aniihilates modern civilization benefits no-one. I wonder what the Corporatocracy thinks of their Boy Wonder now?
