Run, Michelle, Run

I think it’s a great idea, especially since she’d be running against Klanbagger icon Mark Kirk. He should never have been elected in the first place, and replacing him with another Obama…. absolute Nirvana.
Could Michelle Obama follow in Hillary Clinton’s footsteps?
A recent poll found that the First Lady would have an edge over Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk if she was to challenge him in 2016 for his Senate seat. The Public Policy Polling survey found Michelle Obama leading Kirk in a hypothetical matchup with 51% to his 40%.The poll also found that the she enjoys stellar approval ratings, with 60% of voters saying they have a favorable opinion of the First Lady, compared with 33% who have an unfavorable view.Kirk’s numbers are weaker: 34% approve of his job performance compared with 19% who disapprove.
Sure, he had a stroke. And then proceeded to support filibustering away a bill that would have provided jobs training for disabled vets. And of course, there was that matter of the UN disabilities vote the other day. So my sympathy for this clown doesn’t exist, much like he has no sympathy for those who are ailing like he is.
The hell with Kirk. The sooner he’s gone, the better.
I agree. The first lady strikes me as more than capable of being a terrific campaigner and an excellent senator. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound as though she wants to do that. Who knows, though. When her daughters are grown and on their own, she might change her mind.
I don’t think she will right now. I’m with SW, maybe in a few yrs when her girls are out of the house she may consider it.
