For America’s #1 Terrorist Organization, the Bodies are Piling Up

Jared Loughner killed a sitting Federal Judge, a child, several adults, and wounded a sitting US Congressional Representative from Arizona. Jared is a conspiracy nut who bought into the constant right-wing screeching about the GUBMINT gon’ take away everybody’s GUNS!!! Jared made sure to purchase a rapid-fire Glock for himself, along with a whole bunch of ammunition.
Richard Poplawski killed 3 Pittsburgh Police officers and expended 900 rounds during his shootout with Pittsburgh police. Richard was a rabid Glenn Beck Fan, and he was incensed that the US was gon’ be turned into a POLICE STATE by that damned Kenyan Obama!!! Richard took steps to make sure that he wasn’t going to lose his FREEDOM! Those steps included acquiring a variety of high-powered assault rifles, shotguns, pistols, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
James Holmes is a grad-school student who appears to share Richard Poplawski’s trouble with finding himself a girlfriend. While there is no evidence that he is the kind of conspiracy nut that Holmes and Loughner are, there was plenty of evidence that Holmes was very unbalanced before he acquired several assault weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition, and then went to the movies in Colorado.
Other than mass murder on a terrifying scale, what do these three young men have as a common factor? Why yes, that’s right. The NRA made it possible for all 3 of them to get their hands on some heavily lethal firepower, and then go off on a shooting spree.
And now, we have another one. In Wisconsin. At least 7 dead, scores injured, one of the injured being a Police Officer that threw his life on the line to stop this lunatic. Reports indicate that the latest wack job was a white supremacist who appears to have hated Sikhs.
The list goes on and on, and becomes hard to keep up with: Virginia Tech. Knoxville Unitarian Church. San Ysidro McDonald’s. Binghamton NY Immigration Center. Geneva County, Alabama. And I realize that I’m leaving out dozens and dozens where 6 or fewer got killed, but there’s only so much time. So let’s continue to focus on these that I’m mentioning tonight in particular.
Now I can’t speak to the background of the Wisconsin lunatic, because there isn’t much information out on him yet. So we’ll set him aside for the time being. Instead, let’s look at the constant NRA refrain. You know the one: “if we outlaw assault weapons, HUGE ammunition clips, and unlimited purchases of these weapons and clips, then only the CRIMINALS will have these things!”
Here’s the problem with that insane statement. Loughner, Poplawski, and Holmes were all “law abiding citizens” right up until they started pulling the trigger.
It seems to me that we now have more than enough proof that there is simply no good reason to continue to allow these meat-grinders with 50 round clips to be freely circulated in this country. The NRA, as America’s bloodiest terrorist organization, is enabling these guys, and then goading them into their enraged actions with their “police state-jack booted thugs” rhetoric. No matter how many times this happens, and how many innocent people DIE, the NRA just falls back on their slogans, their heated rhetoric, and their threats to any political figure who dares suggest that we as a society have to do something about the proliferation of this kind of weaponry. What they will not, apparently CANNOT do, is take any responsibility for their terrorism.
It seems to me that it’s about time somebody stood them down, and called them out by name. The bodies are just piling up way too fast now to ignore this anymore, or pretend like only criminals do these things.
Amen. The NRA and the shriekers on the right who stand behind them must stand taking responsibility for what they have done to America. They are turning us into a Third World nation, and with the rest of the GOP trying to dumb down public education and turn it into Sunday School with no accounability, and tell us not to worry because they really really love us and know what’s best and darn it, just elect them on emore time and the jobs will come like manna from Heaven if we just give the rich more tax breaks, corporation fewer regulations, and stop scaring the small businesses…why AmeriKa will be complete.

ABC reported that the Sikh temple perp is reported to have white supremacist ties, was a veteran, and from another report, had a “9/11″ tattoo. I certainly wasn’t going to be presumtuous, but this is what I feared. And there will be more as the frustrations of those types increase, esp after Pres Obama wins a second term.

And gun sales in Wisconsin will triple this month as every neo nazi white rethug douchebag worries that the end of times is near. And Michelle will continue to scream about the turrurist keeping them all full of hate and fear. I predict that next year, talk of secession will be the new rage. Texas will actually attempt and it will be a hot political topic in the deep south. I say let em go, good by and good luck. They will all be dead broke and sucking chinese dicks by 2016 for milk money.
