There is no one alive who doesn’t understand exactly what the Rushpubliscum anti-Latino movement is all about, and it sure as hell ain’t illegal immigration. It’s the TYPE of immigrant that the Klanservatives despise. They don’t insist that the President is a “Kenyan” for nothing; “Kenyan” is a dog-whistle term to replace the word that they REALLY want to say. And thus it also is with “illegal immigration.” We know. We hear the whistles too.

While it is unfortunate that Willard is now blowing the whistle hard, it is less than no surprise. He is, after all, willing to adopt just about any position in order to win the Rushpubliscum nomination, and he’s heading for the Klanservative bastion of South Carolina. He’s got to do something to distract the Jesusistanis from his magic underwear, since if he doesn’t, the Klanservatives will remember that he’s a heathen cultist. In South Carolina, about the easiest way to draw attention away from any of your own features and/or problems is to start burning crosses.

Mitt Romney is set to reinforce his strict anti-immigration stance today in South Carolina with an appearance with recent endorser Kris Kobach. Kobach is known for his work on anti-immigration laws in both Arizona and Alabama, as well as his work with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), now referred to as a ‘nativist hate group’ by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Think Progress Reports:

On a day set aside to honor civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr., Mitt Romney plans to tout his extreme immigration positions during a campaign stop in South Carolina today — with Kris Kobach, the author of Arizona’s and Alabama’s immigration laws, at his side. He will attack his competitors Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry for their softer immigration stances, which could resonate with South Carolina voters who support that state’s harmful immigration law. [...]

One of FAIR’s main goals is to overturn the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, which “ended a decades-long, racist quota system that limited immigration mostly to northern Europeans.” FAIR’s founder John Tanton has said that he wants the U.S. to remain a majority-white nation through limiting the number of non-whites who enter the U.S.

And that, as they say, is that. You are, absolutely, known by the company you keep. And Willard deserves to be known for the white sheet he wears over his magic underwear.

Every time I think that this clown can’t get any scummier, he turns around and surprises me.
