A Vote for McCavein is a Vote for Jesusistan

Jesusistan Against Jesusistan

Welcome to the first Reconstitution post of the new Blogswarm Against Theocracy. Please click on the link and join us, as this issue is far too important to ignore. The American way of life depends on our awareness of these cross-carrying charlatans.

I am going to cover ground that will be familiar to anyone who reads Reconstitution, but it is ground that needs to be covered. We created the Jesusistan category to cover the money-grubbing hypocrites who hide their greed and hatred behind a cross. In ths blog as well as our legacy blog, you will find tale after tale of Jesusistan thievery, bigotry, perversion, and above all, hatred. The Jesusistanis hate the United States with a passion and have often called for the violent overthrow of the US Government. We’ve heard Schaeffer, Falwell, Robertson, Parsley, Hagee, and many others of their ilk say over and over again that any disaster that befalls America is because America is a wicked country, and God is exacting punishment on us for our many sins. Jeremiah Wright (a former spiritual advisor to Barack Obama,) the current wingtard target of choice, is being lambasted by the wingtard punditry because he said of September 11, “The stuff we have done overseas is brought right back into our homes.” Would someone please explain to me how in the hell this is any where nearly as bad as what Falwell and Robertson had to say?

JERRY FALWELL: And I agree totally with you that the Lord has protected us so wonderfully these 225 years. And since 1812, this is the first time that we’ve been attacked on our soil and by far the worst results. And I fear, as Donald Rumsfeld, the Secretary of Defense, said yesterday, that this is only the beginning. And with biological warfare available to these monsters – the Husseins, the Bin Ladens, the Arafats–what we saw on Tuesday, as terrible as it is, could be miniscule if, in fact–if, in fact–God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve.

PAT ROBERTSON: Jerry, that’s my feeling. I think we’ve just seen the antechamber to terror. We haven’t even begun to see what they can do to the major population.

JERRY FALWELL: The ACLU’s got to take a lot of blame for this.

PAT ROBERTSON: Well, yes.

JERRY FALWELL: And, I know that I’ll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way–all of them who have tried to secularize America–I point the finger in their face and say “you helped this happen.”

PAT ROBERTSON: Well, I totally concur, and the problem is we have adopted that agenda at the highest levels of our government. And so we’re responsible as a free society for what the top people do. And, the top people, of course, is the court system.

Clearly, two of the biggest Elders of Jesusistan (also known as Dominionists) were just about as gleeful as Osama was at the destruction wrought on this country on the 11th of September. What did the Jesusistan wingtards have to say about it? Other than a “now now, boys” from the moronic monkey, the wingtards in this country largely REMAINED SILENT or AGREED with what Falwell and Robertson had to say.

Once upon a time, John McCavein denounced Falwell for his intolerance. But McCavein is so desperate to get himself elected to the Presidency, that he’s done a 180 degree turn and embraced the racism, misogyny, greed, and hatred of the Elders of Jesusistan. He began his bear-hugging of the Jesusistanis with a visit to Liberty University, an institution that spews out Jesusistan hatemongers faster than Ronald McDonald makes Big Macs.

In 2000, McCain ran for president as a different kind of politician. “We’re on a bus called the Straight Talk Express,” he said at the time. “I gotta give you the straight talk.”

Straight talk meant taking on powerful Christian conservatives such as the Rev. Jerry Falwell.

“Neither party should be defined by pandering to the outer reaches of American politics and the agents of intolerance, whether they be Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton on the left, or Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell on the right,” McCain said in 2000.

Six years later, it is difficult to get a straight answer from McCain about his decision to deliver the commencement address at Liberty University, which Falwell founded.

When asked by ABC News if he thinks Falwell has changed, McCain said: “Rev. Falwell came to my office and said that he wanted to put our differences behind us. I was glad to do that.”

When asked if he takes back his earlier statement that Falwell was an agent of intolerance, McCain said, “I will continue to have disagreements with Rev. Falwell, and I hope that there will be areas where we can agree.”

Johnny doesn’t seem to find ANY areas where he disagrees with the Jesusistan hatemongers anymore. As we’ve noted here, McCavein has nothing but praise for John Hagee and Rod Parsley, who are the poster children for the bigotry and greed that largely makes up the entire agenda of the Elders of Jesusistan. We pretty much covered the bigotry and greed of Hagee and Parsley in previous posts, so I won’t pound you with that again. What I’d rather look at now is their views on our Government.

Here’s a little gem from Hagee on US involvement in efforts to bring peace to the Middle East:

If America does not stop pressuring Israel to give up land, I believe that God will bring this nation into judgment, because I believe what this book says. And if God brings this nation into judgment, He will very likely release the terrorists that you’ve already let get here through the ridiculous immigration policy you refuse to stop, and this nation is going to go through a bloodbath that you have permitted because of what you have done. You have disobeyed the law of God, and now, we as a nation are going to pay a price for that.

God will strike us down because (1.) we let too many of those smelly brown people into the country, and (2.) we spoke a few kind words about some smelly brown people overseas. Never mind that we haven’t actually DONE anything towards bringing peace to the Middle East; just TALKING about the Palestinians like they are human is offense enough.

But what about McCavein’s other buddy, Rod Parsley? How much does he value the freedom enshrined in our Constitution?

Not much.

“Owing to a horrible perversion of language and law, the same First Amendment of our Constitution that bars government from restricting belief has been used to drive Christianity from the national public square. Our society ought to be secular, we are told: no prayer in our schools; no God in our pledges; no faith in our politics. And all this we are to accept from the hands of activist judges who repeatedly overturn the will of the people as expressed through their elected representatives. No, I will not let such outrages go unmarked!”

The First Amendment must be ABOLISHED so that Parsley can begin his genocide against Muslims. And I am not engaging in hyperbole; please, see for yourself what McCavein’s “spiritual guide” says has to be done about Islam.

I have largely ignored the other issues related to Hagee and Parsley because we’ve covered them pretty well in past posts. But just on the issues I present to you here, do YOU want someone in the Presidency that is influenced by the philosophy of these guys?

Actually, I should have asked you if you want YET ANOTHER President listening to crackpots like these. The truth is, you already have one in office now. How’s that working out?

You didn’t mention the filth from Pope RatNAZI?

He’s obsessed — I mean OBSESSED with gay marriage and never misses an edict to blame gays for what ails the world.

So ironic, coming from an organized religion with a proven history of priest/child sex pedophilia and the coverup of the behavior of these sexual deviants who are “good Catholics” and say the Rosary every day.

I usually stick to the American flavor of Jesusistan wingnut. There are so many of them I hardly have time to branch out to the foreign ones :)

  3. Deb Says:

I ranted on religion yesterday, not from a separation of church and state perspective, but from logic and stupidity.

There being no logic but lots of stupidity.

  4. JollyRoger Says:

Religion is all about superstition-but a lot of the devoutly religious laugh if you mention Area 51 or the Loch Ness Monster.

Damned if I can figure them out.
